Electronic waste legislation, mandatory requirements & guidelines have been slow to develop and enforce due to the accelerated growth in electronic waste recycling. E-scrap has highlighted the unique need for specific legislation, both domestically and internationally. Obsolete, non-usable, abandoned electronic products shipped irresponsibly can and do pollute the environment.
Metroplex Electronics Recycling, Inc. participates in industry and public education and development of goals to either extend the useful life of an electronics product or reprocess the product into raw materials for re-use, while protecting the environment and respecting information privacy laws.
